“I am beyond amazed at what God has been able to accomplish through Hope Ministries Uganda in such a short period of time. I am excited to be able to serve in this ministry and to see the Land of Living Hope be built from the ground up for the Batwa tribe! With God’s help, Hope Ministries will continue to Redeem, Restore, Rebuild, and Raise Up the Batwa people!”

Tim Wallace, Hope Ministiries Uganda, Chairman of the Board

Tim, and his wife Nancy, have been married for over 20 years and have a big heart and passion for God’s children. Serving as foster parents in their local community, they have been blessed to welcome 25 beautiful children into their home. Tim and Nancy currently have 4 children, a lovely mix of both adopted and biological children.

Tim has over 20 years of manufacturing experience and currently serves as a Business and Industry Trainer in western North Carolina. Nancy has served as a Hospice Nurse providing compassionate end-of-life care for almost 20 years for a local non-profit.

Tim and Nancy have had a servant’s heart for years. Both have served together as youth leaders in church, served as Cub Scout leaders, as well as 4-H volunteers. They have served as members of the Gideon’s International since 2011 with Tim serving as treasurer for about 6 of those years and he also speaks at churches on behalf of the Gideons.

Tim had the opportunity to travel to Land of Living Hope in 2018 as part of a short-term mission trip and absolutely fell in love with the Batwa people. Tim was welcomed to serve as a board member shortly after that trip and has served as board chairman since. Tim had another opportunity to visit Uganda in 2019 for the filming of the Batwa documentary by Jon Steingard. Tim was able to visit each of the villages and see firsthand the work of Hope Ministries Uganda in Southwest Uganda.
